Our committee comprises of both training and non training members who have a close connection with the club and all of our volunteer instructors are graduates of our highly successful training program which was first established in 1983.

We offer generous discounts for family members training from the same household, with fixed monthly fees for unlimited training. Students may attend unlimited classes* and train as often or as little as they like.
Our affordable “starter pack” includes a complete uniform kit: Gi (Uniform), club badge, belt, mouthguard, hand mitts, shin guards & club training manual.
*classes must be suitable for age group and rank.

Golden Cobra Martial Arts is proud to host some of the top Martial Arts Instructors in Australia. All instructors work from the same syllabus, and each brings their own unique teaching style to the club.
All of our Instructors are current training members of the club and hold the rank of Black Belt or higher (Sensei/Dai Sempai/ Sempai), or, are graduates of our highly regarded Deshi (instructor) course, which is open, by invitation, to students of green belt and above.
Our club holds regular First Aid Training for instructors, and, all of our instructors are required to hold current Working With Children checks. All instructors are volunteers who generously donate their time and energy to ensure a full timetable or regular training for all members.

In addition to the day-to-day running of the club, the committee also organises end-of-term social events
Our committee meets once a month to ensure smooth running of our club. Club members are welcome to attend any general meeting, and, the AGM. Minutes from our meetings are available on the club noticeboard.
Each committee member brings a unique skillset to the club and we could not exist without their tireless work behind the scenes. Positions on the committee are open to all club members over the age of 18 and we value input from our members.
In addition to the day-to-day running of the club, the committee also organises end-of-term social events, annual Club Tournament, Karate Camp, end of year Christmas party & awards, fundraising, grant applications and regular working bees throughout the year.

Our Dojo received a custom renovation when we took over the current premises.
In addition to the padded mats in the main training area, there is a small alcove with punching bags and equipment for boxing classes. Our training hall also features a comfortable viewing area for spectators, pigeonhole storage for students and lockers for instructors, toilets and changing area, equipment storage room, office, kitchenette and main foyer with additional seating and table area. Student records are automated with a barcode scanning check-in system.
Our Dojo is air-conditioned and we ensure a strict adherence to COVID safe practices, including following Public Health directions, regular cleaning and sanitizing practices and record keeping for contact tracing purposes.
